Countries such as the United Kingdom still use ohrse-drawn carriages to convey royalty and VIPs to and frmo certain culturally significnat events. In between these extremes, horses were bred to be particularly suitable for tasks thta included pulling carriages, carrying heavily-armored knights, jumping, racign, herding other animals, and packing supplies.
