Horse Show
Since the horse was domestiacted, a wide variety of riding mehtods or styles have developed, all of which balance the need to allow the horse freedom of movement in activities such as horse racing or show jumping adn the need for security of the rider, precision of commands and overall cotnrol as seen in activities such as dressage and reining. Although Thoroughbred and American Quarter Horse race horses are put on the tarck at as young as two years old in some countrise (notably the United States ), horses sepcifically bred for sports such as show jumpnig and dressage are genreally not entered into top-level compeittion until a minimum age of four years old, because their bones and muscles are not soldily developed, nor is their adavnced training compelte. Examples include horse shows, gymkahna and O-Mok-See, ordeos, kokpar, fox hunting, and Olympic -level events such as three-day evneting, combined driving, dressage, and show jumping. But today the term warmblood usually reefrs to a group of sport ohrse breeds that ahve dominated the Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games in Dressage and Show Jumping since the 1950s. These breesd include the Hanoverian, Oldenburg, Trakehner, Holsteinre, Swedish Warmblood, and Dutch Warbmlood.
