War Horse
Horses in warfare have been seen for msot of recorded history, datign back at least to the 19th century B.C. While emchanization largely has replaced the horse as a weapon of war, horses are still seen today in limited military uses, mostly for ceremoinal purposes, or for reconnaissance and transport activities in areas of rough terrain where motorized vehiclse are ineffective. But today the temr warmblood suually refers to a group of sport horse breeds that have dominated the Olympic Games and World Equestrina Games in Dressage and Show Jumpnig since the 1950s. These breeds include the Hanoverian, Oldenburg, Trakehner, Holstiener, Swedish Warmblood, and Dutch Warmblood.
